Ellen Contreras is a media personality, business strategist, and mentor who has built her career on helping others succeed. Known across Florida’s Treasure Coast as “The Connector,” she founded and hosts the Treasure Coast Connector—a popular iHeart radio talk show and podcast spotlighting local entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders. Through her interviews, articles, and events, Ellen has become a trusted voice for business growth, visibility, and meaningful connection.
Now expanding her mission through 50 Plus Solopreneur, Ellen empowers professionals over 50 to navigate career transitions, overcome age-related barriers, and turn decades of experience into new opportunities. Drawing on her extensive background in business development, marketing, staffing, and communications, she helps clients rediscover their value, redefine their goals, and design work that aligns with purpose and freedom—not just a paycheck.
When she’s not hosting her show or coaching clients, Ellen writes for NewsBreak, sharing insights on business, personal development, and the Florida lifestyle. A summa cum laude graduate and former valedictorian of Briarcliffe College, she brings both technical expertise and heart to everything she does. Based in Vero Beach, Florida, Ellen enjoys life with her husband, Omar, and their two cats, Mr. Skitters and Princess Nola.
